On My Knees

I have been asked to update you on the process, progress, and regress of my left knee. Knowing that many of our friends, supporters, and prayer partners suffer with more serious issues, I have delayed this note.

However, I need you to know that after attempts at conventional and alternative treatment modalities, I will have a complete knee replacement in July.

My surgeon is a sparky scalpel veteran with thirty-six years of experience. He is Armenian. Knowing what his Christian forbears suffered at the hands of the Muslim Turks, I figured he had a praying grandmother; his face was priceless when I greeted him with some newly acquired Armenian phrases!

Just as we say “Two Jews, three opinions,” I was also taught as a young boy that “Jews only have MAJOR surgery.” Of course, the sarcasm is pointed at our Jewish penchant for drama. Nonetheless, I have enjoyed great health, and this is a first in my new “senior advantage” years.

So, please keep us in prayer, as Katharine will be playing nurse during the up-to-eight-weeks of rehabilitation. She and I are praying for our various ministry placements, knowing that they will be covered by quality, seasoned people and not “miss a beat.”

We trust the Lord to make up the difference during this period of lost income, helping us emerge stronger than ever.

God bless all of you who understand us and the message we have been carrying for decades:

  • Yeshua at the center of it all
  • The importance of Israel and the Jewish people
  • The emerging the “one new man” of Ephesians 2
  • The danger of jihad

We love you and thank God for you,

Myles, Katharine, and the Weissguys (Jonathan and Stephen)

My good friend, Carolyn, has had both knees replaced. Her first surgery was at age 65. Just wanted to encourage you, that even though it is a MAJOR surgery, it is “so-able.” And with your favorite nurse by your side, you will, through God’s amazing mercies, do well. Be sure to do the exercizes your doctor prescribes, as this will really help you recover well. Praying for you and your family. God be with you.

I have had both knees replaced and can tell you that I now have absolutely no restrictions at all! Praise the Lord for giving us the technology to do these amazing things.
As an RN who cared for post-op knee surgery patients, as well as being one myself, please let me advise you: Don’t hesitate to take your pain meds as needed (with food) and do your exercises, especially the ones to straighten your leg. You will be amazed at how quickly you recover and feel great. None of that aggravating pain you learned to live with. You won’t be disappointed, I’m sure!

Dear Mr. Weiss, I am sorry to read about the knee replacement. Although I have not had a replacement yet, I have had both of my knee reconstructed twice. I will be praying for you and your rehabilitation. I pray Yeshua will give you supernatural healing and restoration so you can return to your normal life soon. Thank you for taking the time to share about your surgery, but more importantly your needs. Thank you for all you and Katharine do to educate believer’s of our roots. May Yeshua bless you with supernatural peace, restoration and healing. Shalom, Jeff

Rev. Weiss and Katherine, I am praying for your full physical and financial recovery. My friend who has an amazing healing ministry is in Israel right now (August 10) and will be there a few more days. If you know any one in Israel who needs a healing touch of the Lord, she can be reached by sending a private message on her Facebook page, Amy Lee Kemp in Tyler, Texas (public figure).
