Israeli Election: Special Report

God is so very good!

We have been working on an election report for Zola Levitt Presents, including “man on the street” interviews that cover varied opinions about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the future of Israel.

Today is Shabbat, and we were scheduled to complete the interviews. However, many of the “right/center” supporters of Bibi were in synagogue or unwilling to speak to us with our electronic equipment due to their religious observance. So we recorded many insightful “left wing” opinions and engaged in meaningful dialogue with intergenerational folks.

As we were wrapping up and our microphone was losing power, God sent our friend Tom Hess (of the Jerusalem House of Prayer for All Nations) to be our final interview! Tom did a wonderful job of interpreting and connecting the spiritual meaning of recent political events and ended our interviews on a very positive note: God will continue to have His way here in Israel and over the whole Earth. We need to be reaching for His best in America … including resistance to worldwide jihad!

Note:  This episode is currently scheduled to air April 26, 2015.

Teaching on global jihad

In Jericho filming “The Sword of Allah" episodeOn a rain-soaked and gloomy day, we ventured to Jericho to film “The Sword of Allah,” one of eight segments in our series on the End Times.

Yasser Arafat demanded Jericho as his first concession from Israel, and then set up his headquarters here. Why? Because he knew that Joshua had been given Jericho by the hand of God, and Arafat wanted to wheedle it into Islamic hands.

After Katharine and I taught in front of the mosque built with U.S. and international funds, we “happened” upon this sign, which in no uncertain terms identifies the now-Moslem stronghold with the moon god of the desert, Allah! YHVH (the God of Israel) and the Islamic allah are NOT the same! “Allah” may be a common, generic word in Arabic for “god” but the character, purposes, love, and redemption of YHVH share NOTHING with the barbaric, slaughtering, sharia-loving moon god of Mohammed. PRAY for us and for all Believers, please.

With Elijah as our inspiration!

Teaching from the Mukhraka (lit., burned place)We are teaching from the Mukhraka (lit., burned place), the traditional site where God sent fire to accomplish Elijah’s defeat of the prophets of Baal. This is the legacy of faith: to turn the people of God back to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (whom God renamed Israel) through Mashiach Ben David, Yeshua.

Our new television series includes 8 programs that cover issues in the End Times. This particular episode confronts the difference between true and false worship. Behind us in the picture, you can see a statue of Elijah.

Above ArmageddonWe are standing above the Jezreel Valley, the valley known as Armageddon, poorly translated from “Har Megiddo” the “mountain of slaughter.” It was Armageddon that Napoleon proclaimed the “greatest” site for a battle on Earth. That battle is coming. So is the hope of His coming!

The famed Bahá’í Gardens in Haifa

The Bahá’í Gardens in Haifa

The Bahá’í Gardens in Haifa

The Bahá’í Faith: a prime example of the attempt to create a universal world religion that eclipses Yeshua as “Ha Derech, Ha Emet v’ Ha Chaim” (the Way, the Truth, the Life)!

Seeming more benign than other “paths,” this 19th-century syncretic movement still misses the mark and led the way for the global religion arising today.

Watch and Pray!
Myles and Katharine

The Bahá’í Gardens, located in the heart of Haifa, comprise a staircase of nineteen terraces extending all the way up the northern slope of Mount Carmel. The golden-domed Shrine of the Báb, the resting place of the Prophet-Herald of the Bahá’í Faith, stands on the central terrace, looking across the bay towards ‘Akko.

While different parts of the gardens offer a variety of experiences, they speak in a common language of graveled paths, hedges and flower beds groomed and nurtured by dedicated gardeners. The gardens frame panoramic views of the city, the Galilee Hills and the Mediterranean Sea.

The Bahá’í Faith believes: Throughout history, God has sent to humanity a series of divine Educators—known as Manifestations of God—whose teachings have provided the basis for the advancement of civilization. These Manifestations have included Abraham, Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, Buddha, Jesus, and Muhammad. Bahá’u’lláh, the latest of these Messengers, explained that the religions of the world come from the same Source and are in essence successive chapters of one religion from God.

Bahá’ís believe the crucial need facing humanity is to find a unifying vision of the future of society and of the nature and purpose of life. Such a vision unfolds in the writings of Bahá’u’lláh.

Purim

I am reporting from Jerusalem: As the country here celebrates the deliverance of Israel from Haman, the Persian adversary who tried to destroy us, the Jewish people, so He is raising Esthers today to “stand in the gap” for Israel. It is incumbent upon all Believers, Jew and gentile, to stand today for the household of faith, including the suffering Church around the world. The horrors of jihad must be confronted: through prayer, fasting, and right action.

In this picture, my own “Esther” stands next to the incredible sculpture that is located across the street from the Knesset (Israeli parliament). Many Israelis are also celebrating the hero’s welcome received by Prime Minister Netanyahu as he brought the “Mordecai message” to the world from Capitol Hill — “Never again!”

Greetings from the “Hill of Evil Council”

Greetings from the “Hill of Evil Council,” so named during the Byzantine era as the traditional site of Caiphas’ conspiracy to execute Yeshua. In an irony only HaShem could allow, it has been the Jerusalem home of the United Nations since 1948. As you know, the UN ( known as “united nothing” on the street here in Israel) has been the source of virulent and false accusations against Israel.

We are shooting a new series, and this particular episode will contrast man’s rebellious attempts at government with God’s righteous rule, which  find complete fulfillment only King Messiah comes!

One face of Esther

Katharine from Jerusalem

One face of Esther praying from Jerusalem as Bibi stands for Israel in the U.S. Congress

We are living in momentous times as God is raising Esther from among the nations to recognize her Hebrew roots and stand for His people and His purposes.

God WILL deliver Israel.  Will you be a part of His-story? The response of congress bodes well for the US. It is up to us to pray it through to victory!

U.S. launch of FIRM (Fellowship of Israel Related Ministries)

Shalom ZLM community from Myles and Katharine!

In a few weeks we will attend an important Israel Summit in Colorado. This meeting will mark the U.S. launch of FIRM (Fellowship of Israel Related Ministries).

FIRM’s clarion call began this past Chanukah in Jerusalem and represents a dream come true for Jewish Believers and the international Church (Ephesians 2:14).

Katharine and I have been invited to serve on the Board of FIRM, along with Jack Hayford, Jonathan Bernis, Wayne Hilsden, Sandra Teplinsky, Paul Wilbur, Sammy Rodriguez, and Eitan Shishkoff among other leaders in the Messianic movement. FIRM intends to call on Christians around the world to stand with, pray for, and support the BELIEVERS in Israel.

For Katharine and me, this association of leaders in the Body fulfills our lifelong mission of Genesis 12:1-3 AND Galatians 6:10: that we support the Jewish people, ESPECIALLY those of the household of faith.

Without a doubt, ZOLA LEVITT MINISTRIES has been a forerunner in this Kingdom endeavor.  Katharine and I want to thank our viewers, readers, and friends for loving what God loves! Please continue to help us, through your prayers and gifts of funds, to expand our broadcast and web presence as the Day of the Lord draws near! Let’s work while it is day! (John 9:4)

Blessings on your house in the new (Gregorian) year…

From the Gallicantu pit

In the pit of the Church of Gallicantu

In the pit of the Church of Gallicantu

A poignant and unusually private moment with Katharine and me in the pit at the Church of “Gallicantu” (crowing rooster).  This place is considered a likely site of Caiaphas’ house and prison where Yeshua was kept after His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, and where Peter denied the Lord. We have been here before with streaming tourists crowding the space and vying for the pulpit. On the pulpit is a book with Psalm 88 written in dozens of languages. Pilgrims come here from all over the world to recite the age-old psalm that heralds the cost for Yeshua to be separated from His Father on the cross to come.

We read it (you will hear it in our series on Joseph) and prayed as the anointed words echoed in the empty pit. What a glorious and compassionate Messiah! What a testimony of restoration in the life of Shimon Kefar (Simon Peter).  What hope for you and me because of God’s mercy..

Early morning at the Garden Tomb

Myles and Katharine, Early morning at the Garden Tomb

Here you see two very tired but very inspired hosts. We are so grateful to be able to bring people to the Land.

Early morning at the Garden Tomb, before opening its doors to the hundreds of international pilgrims who find solace here.  The guides make a strong case for this being the likely site of Yeshua’s tomb. We do know that the site is not as important as the event… the tomb is empty! He is risen and that means hope to all. He is the Messiah of the Jewish people and the Savior of the world. Son of God AND greater son of David…
We hosted 96 pilgrims here last week and our communion service ended the tour. The anointing of the Lord was powerful and made for a perfect day. We began at the Holocaust Museum (Yad VaShem) experiencing the depths of human depravity and closed the day with worship and communion here in the garden. One young man rededicated his life to the Lord.  Another man was baptized for the first time. Israel awakens the deepest longing and points to the One who satisfies that longing in our hearts.
